Gartner Report: Jump-Start Your Network Automation Journey | Google

Is your network infrastructure a barrier to automation?

Learn how to jump-start your network automation journey to scale your digital initiatives

“Supporting digital business requires network infrastructure that is highly automated, but nearly 80% of enterprise networking activities are manually driven.” – Gartner

By now, you probably know the biggest benefits of network automation. According to Gartner:

  • Agility — An automated network change or operations activity should occur at least 90% faster (and likely more) than one that is manually operated. This can result in faster delivery of servers and application delivery to business leaders.
  • Availability — Network automation should reduce manual errors by more than 75%, which increases uptime because manual error is a leading cause of outages.
  • Opex — An automated change requires only a small fraction of the operational expense of a manual change, often less than 2%.

Sounds great, doesn’t it? Of course, it’s not that easy. So what’s getting in your way? Outdated infrastructure, that’s what. If the core of your network – your DNS, DHCP and IPAM – can’t support sophisticated automation, you can’t reap all of these benefits.

Here’s what we recommend:

  • Get the Gartner report to learn what you should be doing from the top-down and bottom-up to reach your automation goals.
  • Earmark the part about your technology foundations, finish reading, and then let’s talk.
