Michael Harris, Chairman and CEO

Michael is an experienced executive successfully leading high growth technology companies. Prior to joining BlueCat, he was the CEO of MKS where he was responsible for redefining the ALM market which culminated in the sale of the company to PTC. Prior to MKS, Michael held senior executive positions at Geac and SunGard. He holds an MBA from York University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia.

Andrew Wertkin, Chief Product & Technology Officer

Andrew leads the Product Strategy, Product Management, and Engineering teams across BlueCat’s product portfolio. He is also responsible for BlueCat’s research lab focused on innovation, technology road map and vision. Prior to joining BlueCat, Andrew was Chief Technology Officer for PTC following its acquisition of MKS where he also served as CTO. Prior to that, Andrew was CTO and Co-founder of Synapsis Technology. Andrew holds a BA from University of Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Neuroscience Graduate program.

Eric Vermillion, Senior Vice President, Sales

Eric is responsible for leading BlueCat’s sales strategy and functions for the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Eric joined BlueCat from CrossMatch technologies, where he oversaw the global sales organization for the worldwide leader in biometric identity management solutions. Prior to CrossMatch, Eric spent eight years at NICE Systems where he held various roles in sales, sales operations and executive management. Eric is a graduate of Purdue University.

David Jones, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific/Japan

David is responsible for spearheading the Asia Pacific/Japan market entry for BlueCat solutions.  Prior to joining BlueCat, David drove Japan market entry and expansion for MKS and developed Japan into the biggest license revenue contributor in the MKS group in 2011, the year the company was sold to PTC. In addition, David has successfully managed market entry and channel development for numerous companies including Cognotec, Eontec (acquired by Siebel Systems), SunGard (acquired by Infinity) and ACT Financial Systems.

Cheryl Kerrigan, Vice President, People

Cheryl leads BlueCat’s overall people strategy focusing on attracting, retaining, and inspiring top talent. Cheryl joins BlueCat from Achievers (later acquired by Blackhawk Networks) where she was Vice President of Employee Success. Prior to Achievers, Cheryl held an HR leader role at Eloqua (later acquired by Oracle). Cheryl established and served as chair of the Executive HR Roundtable for AceTech, a not for profit organization dedicated to helping Ontario’s technology-based companies become more competitive by providing programs and opportunities to guide and develop CEO’s and senior executives. Cheryl earned her Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Guelph and a postgraduate certificate in Human Resource Management from Seneca College.

Vivian Leung, General Counsel

Vivian leads BlueCat's legal team, advising on all aspects of the business, including corporate, commercial and intellectual property matters. Prior to joining BlueCat, Vivian was Assistant General Counsel at OpenText. Prior to her in-house career, Vivian spent nine years at two leading law firms - Stikeman Elliot LLP in Toronto and Wilmer Hale LLP in Boston. Vivian holds a Juris Doctor and an Hons B.A. from the University of Toronto.

Jim Williams, Vice President, Marketing

Jim is a 20 year veteran of early and growth stage tech companies and is passionate about bringing transformative concepts to market. In his current role as VP of Marketing BlueCat, he’s focused on translating some arcane DNS technology into stories about digital transformation and how CIOs are delivering business value. He came to BlueCat from Influitive, where he evangelized the concept of Advocate Marketing to accelerate revenue growth. In other roles he helped architect Eloqua’s growth from initial traction to IPO in a variety of marketing leadership roles. He studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Jeannie Cho, Vice President, Finance

Jeannie Cho leads the Finance team at BlueCat. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing all finance, accounting and treasury functions. Jeannie previously worked at OpenText, Canada’s largest independent software company, where she held multiple positions including Senior Manager, Corporate Finance as well as Manager, Corporate Accounting. She also worked at KPMG, garnering four years of public accounting experience. Jeannie is a certified Chartered Accountant and earned her MBA at McMaster University and Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto.

Richard A. Clarke

Dick Clarke is CEO of Good Harbor, a cyber security/risk management consultancy. Mr. Clarke has served in the White House, the Pentagon, the Intelligence Community and the State Department under various Presidents and in various roles, including Special Advisor on Cyber Security, developing the country’s National Strategy to Defend Cyberspace and serving on the President’s Review Group on Intelligence and Technology. Mr. Clarke taught national security, crisis management and risk at Harvard and is a frequent advisor on matters of crises management, terrorism and cyber security. Mr. Clarke has been honored with membership in the national Cyber Security Hall of Fame and given the Lifetime Achievement Award for Cybersecurity by the annual RSA Conference.

Douglas C. Grissom

Doug Grissom is a Managing Director on the Madison Dearborn Partners Business & Government Services team. Prior to joining MDP, he was with Bain Capital in private equity, McKinsey & Company and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Grissom currently serves on the Boards of Directors of CoVant Technologies II, Fleet Complete and LGS Innovations. In addition, he was formerly on the Boards of Directors of @stake, Aderant, Asurion, Cbeyond, Fieldglass, Great Lakes Dredge and Dock, Intelsat, and Neoworld. Outside work, Mr. Grissom is a Board Member at Amherst College, the Illinois Venture Capital Association, the Lincoln Park Zoo, METROsquash, the Museum of Science and Industry, UChicago Impact, and the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. Michael Hyatt

Michael Hyatt is the Co-founder of BlueCat. He is a weekly business commentator on CBC News Network and one of the new “Dragons” on CBC’s Next Gen Den – Dragon’s Den. Michael is also a member of the G7 Team at the Rotman School of Management Creative Destruction Lab and on the CEO Board of Advisors at Georgian Partners. Michael also co-founded Dyadem, a highly successful software company that was acquired by IHS (NYSE: IHS). He is also a finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award, a recipient of the Top 40 Under 40™ Award and Chairs his family’s charitable foundation.

Matthew W. Norton

Matt Norton is a Managing Director on the Madison Dearborn Partners Business & Government Services team. Prior to joining MDP, Mr. Norton was with Merrill Lynch and with MDP as an Associate. Jai Shekhawat

Jai Shekhawat is the Founder and former CEO of Fieldglass which was acquired by SAP in 2014. He was previously a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Mr. Shekhawat also serves on the boards of Signal, Fleet Complete, Highground, Utopia, Four Kites, Xaptum, SomruS, Semantify, HealthEngine and OfficeLuv. He was the Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Midwest in 2012. Mr. Shekhawat is a Trustee of the Field Museum of Chicago, serves on the Board of 1871 and is a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago.
