Gateway Fundamentals

The Gateway Fundamentals instructor-led training course prepares students to manage BlueCat Gateway and Gateway workflows.

Prerequisites

The course assumes that learners are comfortable using the Linux command line and have a general understanding of Address Manager. Familiarity with DNS, DHCP and IPv4 addressing would be helpful, though are not necessarily required.

Audience

This course is designed for Gateway administrators and workflow developers. It is appropriate for IT Support and Network Security Professionals, as well as any other individuals with responsibility for managing Gateway in their company’s environment.

Course Length

The course is divided delivered over two days. On the first day, an instructor leads participants through a combination of lecture, demonstrations, and labs. On the second day, a professional services consultant works with participants to develop and customize workflows./p>

Delivery Method

The on-site version of this course is delivered at the customer’s premises or a BlueCat-hosted location.

Upon successful completion of BlueCat Gateway Fundamentals, attendees are able to:

  • Describe the main uses and benefits of Gateway
  • Complete the Gatway installation process
  • Import and export BlueCat-created and community-created workflows
  • Create custom workflows through Gateway user interface
  • Assign workflow permissions to specific user groups
  • Understand and edit workflow file
  • Solve common errors encountered by Gateway administrators
