Typical Mail Flow:
Level 1 — Policies: Emails are first checked against Source, Sender and Recipient Policies.
Level 2 — Virus Check: Emails are scanned for possible viruses.
Level 3 — Attachment Filter: Attachments are accepted, rejected, or removed.
Level 4 — Recipient Validation: Only valid recipients receive emails in their inbox or Meridius Quarantine Mailbox.
Level 5 — Whitelist: Emails are checked against System and User Whitelists. Authorized messages are forwarded to the intended recipients.
Level 6 — RPD Spam Detection: Spam is detected using the “Recurrent Pattern Detection” engine in real-time, regardless of the email language, content or format.
Level 7 — User Quarantine: Suspect email is quarantined for each recipient in a personal “Zero Administration” Quarantine Mailbox.
Anti-Virus System
Detects and blocks virus-infected messages from reaching the internal network.
