Quarantine System

French, Spanish, or English GUI
Web browser languages supported are English, French, and Spanish. The default language is selected under the Quarantine branch of the Meridius Management Console.

Delete or Release Messages from Quarantine
Meridius uses an advanced spam detection engine that prevents unsolicited email from getting through to your email system. The Zero Administration Quarantine feature isolates the spam and stops it from reaching recipients within your organization.

Each message identified by Meridius as spam is based on recurrent patterns of heuristic text analyses of the message header and body. Identified spam is redirected to the end user’s Meridius Quarantine Mailbox to await review and further action. Use the Quarantine Mailbox’s Web interface to Users browse through messages in their personal Quarantine Mailbox using the Web-based application, either deleting or releasing quarantined messages to their regular email inbox.

Configurable Quarantined Email Notification
Meridius can optionally generate and send a quarantine digest to users by email at specific intervals. This notification contains an http or https link to connect to their Meridius Quarantine Mailbox for browsing and reading specific messages. Users can delete quarantined messages, release them, or simple let them expire (to be automatically deleted later).

Configurable Quarantine Message TTL
Meridius offers temporarily storage of quarantined messages; the messages are deleted once they expire. Quarantine message database TTL can be specified for beyond the 72-hour default, for up to 720 hours (one month) of storage.

Image Blocker
Images contained in spam email can be blocked by simply selecting a checkbox on the Quarantine Settings screen of the Meridius Management Console. The images are not shown when viewed in quarantine. However, if the message is released, the emails containing the images are sent unchanged to the inbox.
