TORONTO, CANADA - May 6, 2008 - BlueCat Networks, the IPAM Intelligence Company, today announced that CEO and co-founder, Michael Hyatt, has been selected as a recipient of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 Award. Mr. Hyatt was recognized for his vision, leadership, innovation, achievement and his impact on the IPAM, DNS and DHCP industries’ growth and development; he was also recognized for his significant community involvement.
Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 is a prestigious national award program that annually honors 40 Canadians in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors under the age of 40. The program, now in its thirteenth year, is managed by founding sponsor-The Caldwell Partners. Other sponsors include Deloitte, The Globe and Mail, Certified General Accountants of Canada and Air Canada. Mr. Hyatt was selected from over 1500 nominees by an independent advisory board comprised of 27 business leaders from across Canada.
“Simply being mentioned alongside such extraordinary award recipients is truly an honor,” said Mr. Hyatt. “My brother Richard and I have worked very hard to grow two successful businesses. This award, among other things, recognizes our efforts in the development of award-winning technologies and our ability to attract top-of-the-line management professionals to help realize our vision.”
BlueCat’s rapid ascent to the top of the burgeoning IP Address Management (IPAM) space and the well-established DNS and DHCP markets has been fueled by its unprecedented growth, technological innovation and commitment to its customers. In 2007, the company’s sights were set on building momentum and brand awareness, delivering product innovation and excellence while educating enterprises on the business benefits of implementing intelligent IPAM. With that now accomplished, BlueCat is well positioned to further leverage its leadership position and to drive true customer value in 2008.
“Mr. Hyatt’s boundless energy and corresponding ability clearly demonstrates all the qualities our elite panel of judges was looking for in a Top 40 candidate,” said Doug Caldwell, Founder and Chairman, The Caldwell Partners. “His effective and coherent strategy building helps drive BlueCat Networks’ corporate morale and culture. Our hope in recognizing him and entrepreneurs like him, is that people will follow in their footsteps-doing what’s best for their respective industries as well as for Canada.”
Recipients received their awards at a gala luncheon held Tuesday, May 6th at the Acadian Court in Toronto.
