BlueCat Networks Launches DNS Best Practices Seminar Series: Debuts Professional Services Offering with Advanced User Training
RICHMOND HILL, Ontario-January 10, 2005-BlueCat Networks today announced the launch of a seven-city seminar series that will focus on providing network administrators with best practices training to ensure the effective provisioning of domain name system (DNS), dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) and IP Address Management (IPAM) services. The first seminar will take place in March 2006, followed by a series of regularly scheduled training sessions in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Washington, San Francisco and Dallas. BlueCat customers may also arrange to have on-site training.
The seminar series is designed to ensure that organizations with complex networking environments have the depth of knowledge required to configure their networks for optimal performance. The seminars, which are limited to 20 registrants per course, will focus on best practices for DNS and DHCP using the Adonis line of purpose built appliances.
Future courses will also focus on best practices for deploying IP address management (IPAM) using the Proteus Enterprise IPAM Appliance. Complete scheduling and registration information is available at Adonis Training Course Overview page.
“Enterprise networks are increasingly more complex to manage, while the occurrence of security breaches is greater than ever,” said Michael Hyatt, CEO of BlueCat Networks. “The goal of these seminars is to take the guesswork out of DNS and DHCP provisioning for administrators. Users that are new to DNS will walk away with the knowledge required to set up their DNS provisioning in house and begin using it effectively. We will also ensure that anyone used to working with Linux, Windows® and proprietary BIND-based servers can translate and apply their legacy technology experience to using products such as the Adonis line of secure DNS/DHCP appliances.”
Separately, BlueCat Networks also announced a new Professional Services offering, where teams of enterprise network specialists will help Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and other businesses take the mystery out of managing secure and highly available DNS and DHCP services. As part of this new offering, BlueCat Networks is making advanced user training available to existing Adonis customers. This onsite training, which will be available on a fee basis for up to eight people per session, will ensure network administrators can better and faster integrate BlueCat Networks’ award-winning appliances into the organization using best practices that are proven to secure mission critical networks. BlueCat Networks trainers will leverage custom developed courseware and a laboratory environment to teach the best practices in setting up high availability, failover, clustering and other advanced capabilities provided by the Adonis family of DNS/DHCP security appliances.
BlueCat Networks’ Training and Professional Services offering is led by Bob Kopman and supported by a team of professional trainers. Bob is a professional trainer with more than 10 years experience teaching DNS, DHCP and networking best practices.
“Adonis is a feature rich product, and our goal is to help our customers get the most out of their investment in our advanced technology,” continued Hyatt. “With our onsite training, customers that are new to Adonis can learn how to make their networking infrastructure more reliable and secure, while existing users will be exposed to all the capabilities of the appliance.”
