Market Development Funds


BlueCat Networks’ Channel Program offers Marketing Development Funds to those channel partners who:

  • have successfully applied as one of our channel partners,
  • possess an active and signed distributor or reseller agreement,
  • qualified for the use of the funds,
  • have successfully completed the BlueCat Channel MDF Form, and
  • have written confirmation from BlueCat Marketing for those of the funds.

 

Market Development Funds (MDF) are marketing monies allocated to subsidize Premier or Master Resellers’ marketing programs. These funds are accumulated based on a percentage of sales volume that that reseller generates for BlueCat, and are awarded at the sole discretion of BlueCat Networks. These funds are released on a Vendor / Reseller matching, co-funding basis per marketing initiative and are employed to promote BlueCat products and services. MDF is not intended to meet day-to-day operating expenses, or to support non-BlueCat-related revenue streams. All MDF funded activities must be directly tied to a marketing initiative generated list of prospects that can be qualified and made part of a BlueCat funnel of opportunities. MDF may be allocated and granted toward the funding of the below related activities:

  • Demand Generation: Co-sponsorship of initiatives to drive local demand including whitepapers, seminars and conferences, direct marketing and e-marketing including list acquisition
  • Lead Generation: Seminars, conferences, trade shows, reseller events and workshops, open houses
  • Collateral: Both online and hardcopy
  • Training and Certification
  • Education or Training "Lunch and Learn" events
  • Telemarketing: Only as part of one of the above eligible activities

The following types of activities are not eligible for MDF:

  • Advertising: Commercials, radio, banner, online unless tied to a list of prospects
  • Local Market Research
  • BlueCat produced events that the reseller may asked to participate including partner pavilions for trade shows, conferences, user group meetings, BlueCat reseller training and conferences
  • BlueCat-led or sponsored activities
  • Sporting events, including golf
