She was a founding member of the Swiss IPv6 Task Force and is the president of t newly formed Swiss IPv6 Council.
Security Consultant William P. Crowell is an Independent Consultant specializing in Information Technology, Security and Intelligence Systems. He also is a director in the following companies: ArcSight, Inc. (ARST), an enterprise security management software company, SafeNet, encryption, data protection and authentication solutions, Narus, a maker of IP Telecommunications Infrastructure software for carrier traffic intelligence and security; Air Patrol, a wireless network security company, and DRS Technologies, a subsidiary of Finmechanicca of Italy. In December of 2009 he joined the board of Six3 Systems Holdings, LLC. Until its acquisition by Cisco in June 2007, he was a director and Chairman of Broadware Technologies, a video surveillance software company.
Crowell served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Santa Clara, California-based Cylink Corporation, a leading provider of e-business security solutions from November 1998 to February 2003, when Cylink was acquired by SafeNet, Inc., a Baltimore based security products company.
Crowell came to Cylink from the National Security Agency, where he held a series of senior positions in operations, strategic planning, research and development, and finance. He served as Deputy Director of Operations from 1991 to 1994 running its core signals intelligence mission. In February 1994 he was appointed as the Deputy Director of NSA and served in that post until his retirement in September 1997. From 1989 to 1990, Crowell served as a vice president at Atlantic Aerospace Electronics Corporation, later acquired by Titan Corp, leading business development in space technology, signal processing and intelligence systems. In April 1999, Crowell was appointed to the President’s Export Council (PEC), which advised the administration on trade and export policy. He served as chairman of the PEC Subcommittee on Encryption and helped define new export rules to substantially loosen restrictions on the export of encryption products and technology.
After 9/11 he served on the Markle Foundation Task Force on National Security in the Information Age, which published three landmark studies on Homeland Security and information sharing. He has also served on numerous panels to investigate and improve military command and control, intelligence and security systems. In August 2007 he was named Chairman of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Senior Advisory Group.
Crowell is an expert on network and information security issues. In December 2008 Security Magazine selected him as one of the 25 most influential people in the security industry. In May 2007 he co-authored the book, “Physical and Logical Security Convergence,” published by Elsevier. He has been quoted in many trade and business publications including the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, USA Today, Information Week, Network World, Computer World, Federal Computer Week, CIO Magazine and the San Jose Mercury News. Crowell has also appeared on CBS MarketWatch, CNET News, CNBC, The Charlie Rose Show, and KNTV’s Silicon Valley Business. He was the technical advisor to the TV series, “Threat Matrix” during its run on ABC in the 2003 season.
Founder and President of Applicology Incorporated Applicology Incorporated is the an independent consulting firm specializing in informatics and cyber security issues. Prior to starting Applicology, Bob spent 31 years at the Central Intelligence Agency where he held various positions in the Directorate of Intelligence, Directorate of Support, and the National Clandestine Service. Toward the end of his career at the CIA, he spent three years as the CIO’s Chief Technology Officer where he was responsible for ensuring that the Agency’s technology investments matched the needs of its mission.
During this time Bob was also the Agency’s representative on several government-wide information sharing committees and councils. In addition to his senior level leadership and management positions, his career included assignments in applications programming, training and education, contract and project management, and both line and staff management roles at various levels of the Agency. He holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Statistics from Virginia Tech.

Mr. McFarlane is the co-founder of Vidder Inc. a venture backed developer of cyber security software. From June 2005 to February 2009 he was CEO of PIANO Networks Inc. a developer of mobile IP and security software. Up until February 2005 Mr. McFarlane was the Chairman and CEO of Ascendent Systems, a private communications software company acquired by Research in Motion. Previously, he held senior executive positions at Sun Microsystems, including President of the software division, and President of the service provider division. Prior to Sun, McFarlane held executive positions at Nortel Networks and Bell Northern Research.

Ron Aitchison is also the President of Zytrax Inc., a Montreal-based company that specializes in LDAP, DNS, DHCP, IPv6, SS7 and network security technologies. Prior to founding Zytrax in 1994, Aitchison held senior roles in development, project management, sales and marketing in both Europe and the US. Aitchison holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.

Mr. Sparks was responsible for leading Microsoft's education efforts across Microsoft Corporation and bringing to market education solutions in both developed and emerging markets. He and his team worked with customers, industry partners and Microsoft product teams to improve the learning experience for students, educators and institutions. He served as Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Services and Microsoft IT of Microsoft Corp. and Vice President of worldwide sales of products and services to small and medium-sized enterprises, and Vice President of MSN e-services in this capacity he supervised the development and deployment of services designed to provide a rich, network wide customer experience. He joined Microsoft in 1992, leading the Enterprise Customer Unit in Canada.
He served as General Manager, worldwide field strategy and integration since 1995, General Manager of Carpoint business unit since 1997 of Microsoft and also served its Corporate Vice President, marketplaces and content business development.
Mr. Sparks began his career as a Mainframe Systems Programmer in 1980. Before joining Microsoft, he participated in two technology startups and helped establish Fujitsu's presence in Canada. He serves as Executive Chairman and Executive Director of 80/20 Solutions Inc. He has been a Director of Shoplogix Inc. since April 2006, MusicIP Corporation since May 7, 2008, BlueCat Networks Inc. since April 30, 2008 and Intertainment Media Inc. since July 2008. Mr. Sparks served as Director of the Microsoft Solution Provider Program, Small and Medium Business program, and the education marketplace.
